One week left...
Sunday, October 06, 2013 8:12 PM
So during the past two weeks, I was involved in two jobs (events-related) and participated in my last year of SIKE as a current member.

For the 3 years' of SIKE, it was my first holding a starfish...

Worked for BEX Asia 2013 as lounge attendant, and got the opportunity to help out as help desk attendant too. Met quite a number of people there, made several small conversations along the way, but we also said our farewells there. Maybe I'll meet some of them again in future, who knows.

Formal-est out of the formality.

Then I received a call for an opportunity to be mascots' chaperone for Nickelodeon characters, Dora & Diego and Kai Lan! It was fun, looking at little kids smile, cry, bawl, beam when they see their favourite characters. I remembered vaguely how this little kid grabbed onto my index finger as she walks up the stage to meet them with eyes as wide and huge as a goldfish's.

Newfound admiration for the mascots sweating pails of perspiration yet enjoyed each minute to the fullest.

September was good. I met a lot of new faces, from different walks of life, learnt a lot more than I usually do. I sure hope internship would turn out great for me!

P.S. SOS for uni applications and choices!!!!!! Idk how to do it..............

May you?

Yes, it's May!

Yup, got another one-day job and it was my first time in Zouk for Cut&Paste's Characterized! The digital designers were crazily talented, yep. Got to see a lot of other designers and writers too. And the cash was awesome hehe.

It was the CCA Carnival! Can't wait to see our potential freshies lol.

It's been a better month,
Friday, March 01, 2013 1:50 AM
February didn't fail me eventually! So I ended my Year 2 with a final media pyschology presentation and media law paper.

The presentation was fine! Surprised was I by the response of the parody, apparently everyone loves it, so many kept singing along to the lyrics, many played it on repeat, but nobody told us a thing hahaha. It's amazing. Even the lecturers like it, I think haha.

It was kyu's birthday on 24th! And he came online to thank all of us and his hashtag trended worldwide once again! ;w;

Thereafter, I was trying to study hard for the paper. Failed, but it wasn't too bad, I was more hardworking than the past. Less procrastination, and I'm still learning from it! I've gotta learn to know my priorities better though, last minute work and all. At least, no regrets. All the fail-ish cafe studies, pulling of overnighters etc, were worth it. Took the paper on 25th, I thought it was okay, I hope so. Hopefully my grades can be pulled up! Then I had a good meal thereafter.

Worked for the next two days, so no legit rest day... But it was fine, because I missed my colleagues and they missed me too hehehehehehehe. They're the best! Other than dream team and all my lovelies. Joked around, chatted and all, so the days past by rather fast and fun.

So they met up ;w; Jjun visited Kyu at work sobs, and I love Kyu's shaves. AND KYU SAID SS501 MANSAE! He's really like the TS president who always reminds us about the group sobs.

What basically happened today. I had an awesome last day of February. Spent with lovely people! Went for Seoul Garden with HL to satisfy our Korean cravings 8) Omg awesome, but I won't eat it so often it's too scary to. And the ice cream was the best part! Then we walked alot!!!!! And I bought stuff. T_______________T GOTTA START SAVING UP AGAIN.

Then I met SPA peeps at Hai Bin for prawning! LOL awesome catch up session weeeeeeh, gossip gossip. And they caught quite a number of prawnssssssss. I was really tired lol, out the entire day while I still suffered from muscle aches, but it was good! Spent my day out till it turned March.

This sums up the entire February! I definitely learnt more things in life, learnt how to face life and suck it up, hopefully I've grew to be a better person, and it has to continue. So dear March, please be better to me, because I believe in you. And I hope for it to be happy, fun and fulfilling! Love ya.

Christmas 2012
Tuesday, December 25, 2012 1:16 AM

Merry Christmas! So wow, we've survived the apocalypse which didn't happen in the end. Honestly, I do miss my long hair. Many have been asking me, "do you regret it"? Like why? No I don't, I just miss my long hair.

Had been in camp for 3d2n. Imo, I didn't help much, didn't do much and am pretty sorry about it. Guilt-conscious lol :( But I'd learnt quite alot from it even though I wasn't a camper. Seen quite alot, experienced quite a bit. First time I'd slept on the dirty grounds of Ubin too, like for the entire night, feeding the mosquitoes and all. Yeah, so now it's back to reality, and I'm kinda missing camping.

Poly 7,
Tuesday, November 20, 2012 11:27 PM

Ahaha, so I finally have this little bit of time to blog about Poly 50! It was a really abrupt, impromptu decision for me to take over one of the Team 3 members to run... I was handling my project on last Tuesday night when I received this call lol. So was I shocked. Like ultimate shock. Because I had not have the thought of ever running for any competitions or marathon, let alone for SPA for Poly 50. Boy. So I spent the whole night in shock and disbelief lol.

Yep, so the next day everyone heard of the news lol, then they were like kind of cheering me on. One side of me was happy I had so many friends who're supporting me. One side of me became more pressurized by the 'great' expectations everyone had? LOL. They were like, "aiya you can do it one la. Don't you gym???" And I was like yeah, but I jog at my own pace in the gym and all lol. This poly 50 so xiong one... Sobs. Yeah anyway, had some issues with the singlet as well, cause I didn't purchase one :'( Save money until like that. But thanks to one of my girls who lent hers to me! And I haven't had the chance to return her yet!

Then we headed to T11 for warm up! Was damn sian because I was really afraid I couldn't run! Then they told me I was the first runner for Team 3 somemore. Walao.

So yeah, there I was with the other two teams' girls. Hehe. Was trying to hype myself up so that I wouldn't be shivering. So there I was all smiley lol. How retarded. We were talking about pooh bear and everything under the sky lol. Collecting my baton was a retarded moment too! I went to every station asking for my baton to find out that it was at the other far end because my tag number was "17". Geez, I asked like three stations and they said the same thing ok, "oh number 17 is over there, *points left*" EMBARRASSING PLEASE. T^T

Whistle was blown, flag was swung, there we go. Everyone speeding off and pushing about! And there I was, still with the smile plastered to my face lol ~________~ Okay la, after that I think my smile was taken down because the girl beside me tried to overtake, she did, but she whamped into the girl in front of her and jammed break. Walao, lucky my reflexes fast enough, I leaped to her right before her leg got to trip me of the grounds. I wonder if anyone caught me doing that stunt lol.

Anyway, the first runners were so crazy, they were speeding ahead, pushing everything that's in their way, leaping off anything that's beneath their shoes. So I was kind of lagging behind a little thereafter, as compared to the other two teams! Plus I was trying to balance myself off the slippery road lol. It was drizzling sighs. So I went down the slope very carefully and tried to speed up after that. Weeh, passed my baton to the next runner and boy, I was panting a little already. Maybe not so much, but my leg muscles were pumping. I could feel how much extra energy I was using than the normal.

Then the downpour started zz. BUT I WAS HYPED ALREADY. It's kind of fun running in the drizzle, but WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SHOWER BUCKETS OF RAIN WATER. Had to shelter my eyes with my hands and keep a lookout for the next runner in the chaos lol. Soon later, it was my turn again. Ran off with the baton in my hand, and wow, this route was sure long lol. Every three strides I take, every three swings of my arms, I wiped my face once with my palm... Halfway of striding and I got tired already, the male runners all zoomed past me like swish swosh swish swosh in their shoes. I could literally feel the breeze from their running lol. Then I was thinking, "why the hell am I running so slow???" So I tried to push myself further, saw this girl pacing herself in front of me, so I told myself to overtake, and I did! Overtook as I ran to the next station, but. Here's the problem, I couldn't find my team mate lol!!! Everyone shifted forward, such that I couldn't rely on the tag numbers anymore! Lucky enough, I heard her shouting for me and passed the baton. The downpour wasn't going to stop anytime. Then seconds later, they announced for the race to be stopped :(

Damned, we were doing okay. But the race was cancelled, not even postponed, but cancelled. I WAS SO HYPED UP ALREADY, PREPPED MYSELF AS A RUNNER. WHY. My first run became... a warm up lol. With me running for only twice out of the 9 times.

Hmm, but I enjoyed it! Three of our teams got to at least run 7 rounds while the other schools/cca had an average of roughly 5 rounds teehee.

Drenched but satisfied.

My precious Ares group :')

Tdah! My first and, last(?) running tag that's in green!!

Mm, first running experience, and it was great. Don't know if I will be going for more, but this definitely gave me a whole different view of running. I don't loathe it like I do in the past. But it's still not to the extend where I will like it. Not sure if I'll try something like that again, because I can't take the pressure of a competition, but I might try! Because I love the sense of accomplishment thereafter. :')

Thank you SPA for such a unknowing opportunity. A whole new discovery about myself lol.

SG >>>>> JB
Monday, October 08, 2012 11:48 PM

Yay, I had my official first getaway with friends on Sunday kekekeke. We supposedly met 9am at Kranji, but I was late (as usual) oops. Then we boarded the bus which goes straight to the customs. There were no queues, no jams or anything, it was rather surprising. And from that, I've learnt that it was faster to get in by buses compared to cars since they have the bus route. 8) So we reached City Square about 10am, and got Starbucks for our morning coffee! Then I had my monthly installment right after -______- God.

So we loitered around City Sq, and since it was the morning, some shops weren't open yet. And there's a 'bugis street' at the higher levels! Awesome, that's where we stayed the longest. Then the guy was complaining, so we decided to cab to KSL City. Before that, because our stomachs were rather hungry, we had Nando's first. The food was so-so only. But the different levels of spicy sauce were yum. The drive to KSL was only $8-10 btw!

So at KSL there were more unknown shops, yet clothes more suitable for the teens. And everything was much cheaper, so we bought quite a bit and was spinning around the mall, not wanting to leave. Walked around till about 5pm we decided we had to head back because we wanted to reach SG by 7pm initially. And we cancelled the Sentosa seafood dinner from our itinerary d'aww... But it was fine cause they gave in to me and agreed on Kim Gary kekeke. We wanted that for lunch but there was a frigging long queue and I got so sad T_T Hehe I had the same baked rice...

Ordered the yummilicious milk tea with grass jelly. That was how tall the cups were and they were 6.50 RM each!

That's how hugeass the proportions were! You could legibly swim in it hehehehe, kidding. And our meals turn out to be 16.50 ~ 17.50 RM! The only downside is never to speak in English to the staffs, they might get stressed out and scared... Lol. I'm sorry we didn't mean to scare you, Mr waiter. But I have to admit the food wasn't as delicious as I expected. It was better the first time! Still, it's worth the prices 8)

So after eating, we went back to the places we visited earlier, to purchase whatever we've not done so. I got so upset because I wanted this pair of snowflaked-pattern canvas shoes, they were kinda cheap too. But, there was only guys' sizes! Sobs, the smallest pair was a size 38, it was fine! Really, it was! Until I stood up and tried walking, they felt like flip flops. Another plain pair was 25 RM. Sobssssssssss. But it was the last pair which was also the display set! And... I don't like getting display sets. Sigh, not fated! But I did purchase a pair of flats and better quality slippers! Hurray. And of course my hairdye, which turned out to be cheaper as well... Initially I wanted to get two colors, but the other color disappeared when I went back! Probably because that color doesn't exist in SG.

So... by the time we checked the watches again, it was 8plus at night! LOL. And we rushed back to the station to head home! There was queues this time round and by the time we reached woodlands, it was already 10pm. That's the time when we feel the tiredness overwhelming us. But, well we're happy kids with our loots! Even though I was the only one who didn't have my best buy. /sadface4laifu/

It was a good experience overall :)

Gone with the sea
Thursday, September 27, 2012 2:22 AM
Yep, so SIKE 2012 returned and passed by like the ocean breeze. Some of us stayed over the night before on Friday at Poly Marina, because the meeting time next morning spelt insanity. Yeah, I was one of them, because I wanted to save some time, even though I didn't stay as far as the east-siders! Plus, we had to launch the power boats on Friday, so I just brought my bags along and slept for the night. Returned home to bathe after boat launching and met the old NHHS people for a short while at Clementi. Back to PM at about 10PM, and wow I couldn't sleep the whole night! It was a half-conscious sort of thing because I keep feeling people walk in and out of the room. Almost slept, but nah still woke up. Then set off to Macs to get breakfast at 6 in the morning! I still prefer the normal meals... And I had to drink black coffee because there wasn't any creamer! Sobs. Gathered at 6.45 and I sort of lazed around without specific duty/role. The fatigue was kind of setting in as well, since I didn't sleep. AND THERE, it had to rain, so it kinda delayed us a little before we set off.

Then we took off! Me and partner are tail end for the day. The paddle was rather smooth since he's really good at maneuvering and we could coordinate rather well!

Breaks in between, in the middle of the sea~

The loveliest part about this trip is when you're about to reach Pulau Hantu and you paddle past with all the corals beneath you! But this year, these corals have been depleting by so much, I was so upset!

Reached Hantu before the expected timing, within like 2hours and had them to set their tents and wash up a little before there was dinner! Was really sleepy and so I watched the people fish. Many brought their rods lololol, it was kinda fun watching them hurl the fishing lines into the sea and wait for fishies to get caught. But no, they were smart fishes which nibbled the sides of the bait and left the hook alone! So I was covered with dry salt all over, and decided to shower.

Yep, my ultimate shag face.

Then dinner! It was rice with awesome marinated black pepper chicken and a mixture of soup. Lol, that's me trying to feed Carin while she fish. And my hair looked terrible at that moment in it's wet-dry state.

Uh then I settled down to use my phone and everything, didn't have the social networking mood while I was there tbh! I just continued to watch them fish and blah till the night fell. Night was pretty much calm, we waited for the juniors while they had their mini walk to the breakwaters and the rest of us were just playing the guitars, singing and chillax. When they returned, there was the marshmallow session, but I stayed out of it and sat with some alumnus while they shared their legendary stories while in SPA lol. Military training and such, it was great to hear but never good to experience! Kids, don't try this at home! LOL. Yeah, soon it was wash up and lights out, I was assigned the first for sentry duty at the jetty. So few of us stayed at the jetty and chatted. Oh yes, and it was the first night I slept on a hammock! Borrowed from cherie lol, turned out that it was a netted hammock omg and I got so scared cause it was so small what if I fall off. Well, after duty, seemed like I was exhausted and I managed to balance myself and fall asleep with occasional waking up. It was all cool though sleeping at the jetty with the breeze and stuff.

Morning arrived, it was breakfast and jetty jump. Didn't try it this year again D: I chickened out this time round lol. Photo time before leaving! The current SPA and the SIKE comm.

Then this time, I took the powerboat back hehe.

It was all awesome, until my eye started to hurt like there was dirt stuck in between my eyes and the lens. I tried blinking it away but to no avail, then I got too pissed off with it. Removed it when I reached PM around 3-4 in the afternoon, but still, really frustrated. Helped with the wash up and stuff, debrief, and by the time it was 6plus we showered and went for dinner at 7plus after cleaning up the areas! By the time I finished my shower, my legs were itching like mad from all the mosquito bites I got from Poly Marina on Friday and Saturday morning! Ugh, I get so mad every single time these mosquitoes kiss my skin. Little did I know, that Sunday night when I got home, I realised what's turning more itchy and overtaking these mosquito bites were the sandfly bites! Oh god, they were thousands and thousands of times more itchy! I swear these few days, I've been itching a whole lot, much worse than when I had my chicken pox. Yes, that bad. Never get these sandfly bites, they kill you physically and mentally. Mental destruction, especially when I had to wear jeans for work on Tuesday. That was bad enough and the shoes were killing me cause they had so much friction with the lumps on my feet! Yes, that's the story of these little fucktards.

It was a fantabulous expedition even though there were minor cock-ups but I enjoyed it, from the bottom of my heart. Why? It's the company that counts! Well, aside from those sandflies.

Time flies, things change
Friday, September 21, 2012 2:16 AM
Yup, so another 2 weeks have passed, and sea trainings on alternate days have pretty much summed up my weeks. Of course, there'd been also land trainings. I feel so healthy! Then trainings stopped this week, and I felt all weird not having to exercise, it's like I've grown all fatty again. Then just yesterday, I went to SP's pool to swim a little hehe, just to accompany the upgraders for their swim test too. Then I shopped a little with EC. Woohoo, money flew again. ;~~~;

Something I've gained from the training one day...

And then, I met up with Charlene and SK who's just been back from Seoul!!!! Hehehe, had the chance to try the Salted Caramel Mocha Frappe when there was the 1-for-1 offer. It was yummy. I love the salty taste hidden in between the sweet caramel and foamy whipped cream. Having the cravings now. Sobs.

Being the Korean people, we decided for Korean food at Kim Dae Mun(?) It was delicious yet affordable. But after having this, I had the flu the next day... Probably thanks to my ill Dad as well. Well, it was still awesome! But the kimchi was meh...

And these are the stuff SK bought from Korea for me! Great to have such a nice, kind friend who doesn't mind putting aside some luggage space and purchasing items overseas for you. Masks were so cheap in Korea OTL OTL OTL. And the skull tee wasn't initially mine but I guess it was meant to be. Hehehehehe. THANKS SK!

And yes! Because I grew so sick of my hair, even though I liked it long and curly and brown. I decided to go for a haircut just a week ago. Exactly one week. I went back to the neighbourhood salon with the familiar aunty to have my hair cut. And I got my sidecut lolololol. It might be outdated already but well, I had it for fun! And snipped off all the dead ends and my curly locks boohoo.

Loved my new hair when it was done. But now I've gotta admit, I got bored already... LOL. Plus, maybe this hairstyle doesn't really suit me that much. And I miss my longer hair, but it was getting too dry from the sea water and sunlight! So well. I'll wait for it to grow longer! Meoli meoli, come back to mummy!

Oh, and I let out some secrets to Huiling a few days back, had a good h2h chat with her late night one day. It basically went from SS501, to individual members, to Seoul, to my hair, back to SS501, and then about my lifeu. I'm glad to say I found another good friend who's willing to listen to my rants :') Plus, she's a Triple S like me! So we've lotsa common grounds and wouldn't squabble that easily (I hope).

So I'm off from tomorrow and Sunday! Till then, I'll return shades darker and exhausted. I'll probably have fun though, I WISH! Because FT Island won their first M'Countdown award for "I Wish" yesterday. LOL, what a stupid turn. Toodles.
